Our Research
The Center for Community Capital is a non-partisan, multi-disciplinary research center housed within the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a leading center for research and policy analysis on the power of financial capital to transform households and communities in the United States.
Our research is concentrated in three specific areas: affordable housing, economic mobility, and financial inclusion. Additionally, in partnership with Self-Help Credit Union, we have conducted a unique long-term study of nearly 50,000 LMI and minority homeowners. The Community Advantage Program Study (CAPS) has informed federal and industry policy around homeownership opportunity.
